Netflix has appointed Snap’s executives; Chief Business Officer, Jeremi Gorman as President of Worldwide Advertising and VP of Sales, Peter Naylor as VP of Advertising Sales to lead its advertising venture. They both will be taking up their new roles at Netflix effective September 2022.
According to media reports, Naylor will report to Gorman, and Gorman will report to Netflix’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Product Officer, Greg Peters.
Gorman has been associated with Snap as CBO since November 2018, prior to working with Snap she has served at Amazon, Yahoo, to name a few.
Naylor has been associated with Snap as VP of Sales, Americas since April 2020, previously also served at Hulu, NBCUniversal, Inc. and some more.
Netflix had announced in April about its new lower priced ad-supported subscription plan for consumers, in addition to the existing ad-free basic, standard and premium plans. It’s targeting an early 2023 launch for ad-supported streaming package.
