Days after the Gautam Adani-led Adani Group’s takeover of media house NDTV, a news report by Newslaundry states that a leadership meeting held on January 4, addressed questions by staff regarding the news organisation’s editorial freedom, salaries, expansion, and BJP spokespersons on shows.
According to the report, NDTV President Suparna Singh in a message inviting employees to attend the meeting said that she was aware that there were several questions. Singh also added that the management would try to share information that would help employees move, as a team, into a new phase.
Reportedly, the new management team has expressed their keenness to re-start the NDTV Profit which was shut in 2018.
All leading news broadcasters have business news channels namely Zee News, CNN-News18, ET now etc in their network, hence the Adani owned news media platform is also looking forward to owyn a news channel in its kitty.
