Mumbai: The National Basketball Association (NBA) has been awarded the Licensor of the Year[Sports]for its partnership with Jack & Jones at the India Licensing Expo 2017 conducted in Mumbai on 20th & 21st August, 2017.
The award was slotted in categories for excellence and recognition for licensors under Entertainment, Bollywood, Celebrity, Sports, Corporate, Arts, Character and Music. Winning in the sports category, the NBA made it through stiff competition from several renowned sports brands, through a list of criteria that was put in place & audited by Ernst and Young. Being a top sports brand breaking the boundaries of traditional sports categories by establishing itself in the fashion space, the NBA has successfully paved the way for its lifestyle and fashion culture spreading among its fans in India.
India Licensing Expo is one the country’s first and largest brand licensing platforms, that brings together the licensing fraternity to apprise themselves on the concept of licensing as business model, provides a platform for licensors, agents & licensees to meet &collaborate on business opportunities, and recognizes excellence in licensing ecosystem.
