Singapore: The APAC Effie Awards, known for celebrating the most effective marketing communications in the region, has announced the appointment of two new Heads of Jury for its 2025 edition: Kartika Guerrero, Head of Media at Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, and S. Subramanyeswar (Subbu), Group CEO in India, APAC Chief Strategy Officer, and Global Chair – Strategy for MullenLowe Group.
Subbu brings with him over 25 years of experience in advertising and marketing, having held senior roles at leading organisations including Wipro, Publicis, Rediffusion Y&R, and Saatchi & Saatchi. His career has spanned across India, the US, and the UK, with work on iconic brands such as Procter & Gamble and Unilever. A strong advocate of marketing effectiveness, he has won multiple Effie awards at national, regional, and global levels. Subbu has also been an active contributor to the academic and thought leadership circuit, serving as visiting faculty at leading business schools in India and the US.
On his appointment, Subbu said, “I’m thrilled to be a Head of Jury at the APAC Effies this year. Joining Subbu is Kartika Guerrero, who currently leads media strategy at Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison. With over 14 years of experience across APAC markets—including the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia—Kartika has held leadership positions at Ogilvy, GroupM, Unilever, and Fonterra. Known for her ability to craft compelling narratives from complex data, she has consistently driven effective, consumer-focused growth strategies.
On her appointment, Kartika said, “I’m truly honoured to join the APAC Effies as a Head of Jury.
