MullenLowe Group Asia announces the appointment of Poh Ling Yee as Head of Talent Management, APAC. In her new role, Yee will lead the Group’s talent development strategy, in addition to developing effective collaboration across the network in Asia.
Yee brings over 21 years of experience in talent management, recruitment and human resources to MullenLowe Group. Prior to joining, Poh Ling was most recently Chief Talent Officer at Young & Rubicam for 9 years, and has also held an executive leadership role at Wunderman.
Yee joins MullenLowe Group following a series of structural changes to transform the network into a hyperbundled model, allowing the Group to harness the best talents, skills and experience across markets to build and develop capabilities specific to each client challenge.
Based in Singapore, Poh Ling’s primary role will be responsible for sourcing and developing talent to support MullenLowe Group’s future growth as a creatively driven integrated communications and digital transformation network.
In addition, Poh Ling will also be responsible for fostering a collaborative culture between each market and center of excellence. She will report to Vincent Digonnet, CEO, MullenLowe Group APAC.
“We’ve transformed hugely over the past 18 months into a hyperbundled network, supported by specialized centers of excellence,” said Vincent Digonnet. “The success of this structure however fundamentally relies on our ability to collaborate and share ideas across borders, not only to strengthen our capabilities for clients, but also to expand and deepen skill sets.
“Poh Ling is a critical component of this vision and I look forward to working with her to deliver seamless capabilities for our clients, within a strong unified network,” he added.
Poh Ling Yee is clear on her strategy with regards to developing new talent. “The diversity across Asia Pacific means that clients are bringing a diverse set of challenges which demands an increasingly complex and specialized stack of skills and experience.
“I believe MullenLowe Group’s vision of deepening specialisms whilst creating a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing is the model from which the agency of the future will follow. This means increasingly sourcing talent outside the conventional advertising industry and I’m looking forward to getting started with this ambitious challenge.”
