MullenLowe Lintas Group India has become part of the 2023 Index of ‘100 Best Companies for Women in India’ curated annually by Avtar and Seramount.
Avtar is an Indian DEI solutions firm. Seramount is a professional services and research firm for high-performing, inclusive workplaces in the United States,.
MullenLowe Lintas Group is the only advertising agency from India in the list that includes the likes of Bayer, Aditya Birla Group, HP, Mondelez and P&G.
Sony Pictures Networks, which is also placed in ‘100 Best – Hall of Fame’ for featuring in the ‘100 Best Companies for Women in India’ for five years, is the only media company on the list.
The Index reads: “Sony Pictures Networks India channels their commitment to women’s development and career enablement through various policies and benefits. These include gender-agnostic hiring, internal career opportunities and talent review, which have resulted in 44 pc of internal job rotations by women and 27 pc of their high-potential talent comprising women.”
This is the eighth successive edition of the Best Companies for Women in India (BCWI) study. The application form with close to 300 questions, required companies to provide data on their practices, programmes and policies to ensure gender inclusion at their workplaces.
Media and Advertising companies on the Index
The industry-wise share of the 100 companies on the index shows that only two of them are from ‘Media, Internet and Advertising’.
Digital business transformation company Publicis Sapience is part of the list, as are consulting firms Accenture, EY, KPMG and PWC.

MullenLowe Lintas Group India said in a statement that it has consistently championed diversity and gender equality through a range of initiatives and policies. Factors which contributed to the recognition include commitment to providing equal opportunities, promoting women’s leadership and nurturing a supportive work environment.

Over 39 pc of MullenLowe Lintas Group (MLLG) employees are female. The organisation has an apex DEI Council ‘Women of the Future’ and a Gender Neutral Parental Leave Policy. It provides employees universal primary caregiver leave (26 weeks), preferential parking for expectant and new mothers, mother’s room, and coverage of OPD for vaccinations. They have assessed policies across the employee life cycle to build more equity in practices.
In addition, MLLG claims to have in place one-of-a-kind policies in securing mental and physical well-being with people-friendly initiatives such as scheduled downtime, holiday homes and holiday travel reimbursement.
