Mumbai: Mukta A2 Cinemas, with its brand of multiplex theaters, celebrated Children’s Day – by announcing an association with Nanhi Kali foundation.
To make a contribution towards enriching the lives of the girl child, Mukta A2 Cinemas will be sharing 15% of the profits made from this combo to help educate girls through the Nanhi Kali foundation.
This combo will be available for a period of a month from 14th November to 14th December 2017.
Nanhi Kali is a joint initiative by K. C. Mahindra Education Trust (KCMET) and Naandi foundation, started in the year 1996. In the past as well, the chain of cinemas has done various activities contributing towards children’s education and better life by screening special shows. The cinemas had collaborated with Pratham Organisation, where kids from Mumbai slums watched the Lion King movie and were provided with food and beverages. Kids from Salaam Balak Trust were invited for a show of the movie Iqbal, where they were given food, beverages and also a chance to meet the cast and crew. Mukta A2 Cinemas had also done a tie up with the SOS foundation where they made donations to help kids challenged with hearing and speaking.
Commenting on the noble campaign, Mr. Rahul Puri, Managing Director, Mukta Arts Limited said, “It is our pleasure to be associating with an NGO like Nanhi Kali that has been relentlessly working for the girl child in the country. Through this month-long campaign, we look forward to donate a decent amount towards the education for the girls at the foundation. We urge our patrons to walk in at the participating Mukta A2 Cinemas and contribute towards this noble cause.”
