Maharashtra State Road Transport Corp (MSRTC) and Akshara Centre have together released a three-film campaign calling out eve-teasers. The campaign aims to make Maharashtra buses safer for women. The campaign has been conceptualised by 82.5 Communications from the Ogilvy group.
The campaign, titled #JagahDikhao, aims to call out eve teasers by exposing them before all. The three films will be seen across bus depots in Hindi and Marathi.
In the first film, a man deliberately tries to lean on a woman standing. In the second, another keeps ‘accidentally’ touching a woman sitting on the seat, while in the third, a man keeps bumping into a standing passenger and touching her inappropriately. In all three films, the perpetrator is called out in front of everyone – by the mother, the bus conductor and an old lady on the bus – where all three offer the criminals the seat because they need to be shown their place.
