Multi-System Operators (MSOs) were granted six new licenses by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) from21st April 2022 to 4th July 2022. Four are companies, one is proprietor ship and one is partnership firm. The total number of registered MSOs now stands at 1,753.
The six new licensees are, Softech Infosol Private Limited, Shabkha Taqnia Private Limited, M/s Infotainment Service & Communications Pvt. Ltd, Bhumi Cable, Binodan Digital Pvt. Ltd and Tribeni Entertainment.
Three provisional registrations were granted to Godfather Communication Pvt.Ltd., Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Ltd. and M/s Intermedia Cable Communication Pvt. Ltd.
Twelve MSOs licenses were cancelled by MIB from 4th April 2022 to 4th July, 2022 namely, Rallyon Technology, Panduranga Cable Network, Shivam Cable & Broadband Private Ltd, South Star Digital Network Private Limited, RK Digital Cable TV Network, LD Family Network, Sahya Digital Networks LLP, Krishna Cable Network, SurbhiDiginet, Thulasis Technology Private Limited, Yadav Cable and Sri Laxmi Local Cable TV.
