Mumbai, India: The Market Research Society of India (MRSI) appoints the Managing Committee for 2024-2027. Nitin Kamat from TAM Media Research Pvt. Ltd. is the new President, succeeding Paru Minocha from Kantar. Nitin previously served as treasurer for MRSI’s 2022-2024 Managing Committee and contributed to the ISEC Committee.
At MRSI’s 36th Annual General Meeting in Mumbai on June 27, 2024, Puneet Avasthi and Shuvadip Banerjee were elected Vice-Presidents, Anila Vinayak as Secretary, and Parijat Chakraborty as Treasurer.
MRSI’s Managing Committee, composed of companies in the market research sector, is dedicated to enhancing quality standards, boosting India’s global market research presence. Future goals include building on past achievements, fostering member collaboration for knowledge exchange, and nurturing emerging research talents with a focus on promoting the industry’s value.
Congratulating the newly elected President, Paru Minocha, Managing Director, South Asia, Insights Division, Kantar, and outgoing President of the Market Research Society of India said, “I am grateful for the unwavering trust MRSI members placed in the current Managing Committee. Key initiatives like the launch of the Socio-economic Classification System, ‘ISEC’, and the Market Sizing report of FY 2022-23, have given a new direction and scale to the vision of the association going forward. As I pass on the baton, I wish the incoming Managing Committee under the leadership of Nitin Kamat all the best.”
Shortly after establishment, the former Managing Committee focused on Profile, Pride, Network, and ISEC. Notable adopters of ISEC included ISA, ITC, HUL, Marico, Dabur, Kantar, IPSOS, and media agencies. MRSI reported positive growth in the market research sector, with the Indian Research & Insights Industry 2024 Update set for September 2024 announcement.
On being announced as the newly elected President of MRSI, Nitin Kamat, Chief Growth & Partnerships Officer, TAM Media Research Pvt.
