OTT platforms such as Amazon, Netflix, Disney+Hotstar and other platforms are offering an exciting collection of movies and original series that will make your time in self-isolation easier.
Most of us now are now working from home due to the pandemic, a lot of streaming service has made a few of its content available free to watch on the platforms.
Top Content of this Week: Overall
In COVID week 4 of BARC and Nielsen report, it is highlighted that the most-watched content ranked across gross consumption (time spent on a content aggregated across all users who watched that content) was Money Heist on Netflix. Followed by AajTak and Mahabharat on Disney+HotstarABP News and APB Ananda on the 4th and the 5th spot and Bigg Boss on Voot on the 6th spot. For the last 4 spots on this category, Devon Ke Dev-Mahadev on Disney+Hotstar, Panchayat on Amazon Prime Video, YehRishtaKyaKehlata Hai and Mission Mangal on Disney+Hotstar.
Movies of the Week
According to BARC, week 14 highlights the top watched movies, Disney+Hotstar is clearly leading the chart with 8 of the movies in this list being aired on the platform, Mission Mangal leading the category, followed by other movies like Chhichore, Angrezi Medium, Housefull 4, Arjun, The Lion King, Aladdin, Frozen 2 are also been aired on the Disney+Hotstar platform. With Good News and Shikara on Prime Video being on the 9th and 10th spot.
Top Original Series
OTT players these days offer content that are always unique and exciting for the viewers to watch and some of them are venturing into new genres rather than sticking to usual genres.
Money Heist on Netflix has already created a lot of waves on the Internet and is leading the Top Original series category, followed by Stranger Things on the 2nd spot and Out of Love on Disney+Hotstar on the 3rd spot. For the 4th spot we have recently released Special OPS, an action thriller series about Indian agents chasing an international terrorist, and Little Things on Netflix on the 5th spot followed by other series. Sex Education on Netflix on the 6th spot and Asur on Voot on the 7th spot, for the last 3 spots on this category we have Hostages, Narcos and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.
