Mumbai : A senior marketer for Mondelēz International in India has moved to a regional role in Singapore running the snacks giant’s media operations.
Sindhuja Rai, who has worked for the company since 2010, takes on a new role as Associate Director, Media and Consumer Engagement, Asia Pacific.
She was previously Vice President of Mondelēz International in Mumbai.
Her new job is part of a move towards a category-led approach that Mondelēz International implemented at the start of this year, the company release said.
The new approach means a slightly different role for Pete Mitchell, Mondelēz International’s global head of innovation, who moved from Mindshare in the US to Singapore a year ago. Mitchell will perform the same role, but for Mondelez’s gum and candy division.
Rai has spent much of her career on the media agency side of the business, for agencies including Madison Media, Lowe Lintas, Starcom, Mindshare and Havas Media.
The American multinational confectionery, food and beverage conglomerate Mondelez International has acquired Karft foods ltd in 2010 whereby took the Cadbury’s brand in its kitty.
