Bengaluru: Mitron, the Indian short format video app, has joined hands with OncoStem Diagnostics, makers of CanAssist Breast test, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As part of the #JaagoMitron campaign, 16 celebrities have created insightful #DidYouKnow and #KnowYourFacts videos for OncoStem Diagnostics to encourage women to undergo regular breast cancer screening tests. The videos feature well-known personalities such as Delnaaz Irani, Shaan, Chitrashi Rawat, Kailash Kher, Shankar Mahadevan, Cyrus Broacha, Maria Goretti and Raghu Dikshit amongst others.
The campaign focuses on the importance of being aware of any unusual changes the breasts highlighting how it is not just lumps one needs to be aware of. Mitron users along with celebrities will create insightful videos holding placards that lists important facts on Breast Cancer with the hashtags #KnowYourFact & #JaagoMitron, and urge users to share it with other users. According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer affects 2.1 million women each year and causes the greatest number of cancer-related deaths amongst women. Currently, platform has release four videos, and will be uploading one #KnowYourFact video every day.
