Coming out of a difficult 2020, the one emotion on top of the mind, for 2021, is hope. For a much better time, for a recovery, an optimistic viewpoint, that things can only go one way from here, and which is upwards!
With that in mind, the key areas of focus for Mirum for 2021, will be the following:
The team has been extremely supportive right through a difficult year. Coping with challenges at work and at home, adapting to lockdown and WFH working, have all called for supreme sacrifices. And with all those, if as an agency, we have done reasonably well, it is absolutely on account of the team. And so, the focus will be to ensure that the team gets to recover, to recoup, to get back to growing and learning, and get back to relative stability. We will do what we can to enable this.
Clients have gone through difficult times as will. So, this year’s annual plans with clients will have to be different from what we do in any other year. Where clients are digging themselves out of a tough year, we will focus on high efficiencies that we can enable using digital and also enabling ROI oriented campaigns and programs. A few clients who found themselves on the right side of the balance, and were in categories that saw exceptional growth in pandemic times, we will again need to enable continuing high growth programs and ensure we can enable the best share of voice and share of market, for them.
Collaboration: Thanks to the dynamic changes coming up within Wunderman Thompson and within the larger WPP Group, there is an aggressive effort to get teams to work together and ensure that the best talent and energies within the group can collaborate to deliver on client requirements, anywhere in the world. Based in India, and working in technology areas, we find ourselves having significant opportunities, due to this approach of collaboration, and we will focus on the same to make it a success for us.
Solutions: As a fully integrated digital solutions company that we are, we are in a unique position to connect all the dots on the digital ecosystem, from creative to media to technology to ORM to marketing automation, we are able to not just deliver campaigns, but pretty much enable our clients to get solutions to their business challenges, with everything happening at Mirum. We will focus on offering such business solutions to our clients.
Mirum Health: While health has been the single largest focus for everyone in the world, in this year of the pandemic, coincidentally, Mirum had started a focused vertical to support the healthcare businesses, with digital solutions. Looking at the rapid growth of the healthcare vertical, and also recognizing that while the industry lagged most others in terms of digital adoption, they are now in a hurry to catch up, and hence a lot of digital focus remains priority for them, Mirum will be focused to grow the Mirum Health vertical rapidly, and work with larger number of healthcare brands for various service offerings, for the same.
With all these plans, we saw in 2020 that we proposed and Covid disposed! Hoping to see a far more stable world, with perhaps a vaccine in place and we all return back to growth, without worrying about variables that are out of our control!
