Mumbai: Mihir Karkare and Hareesh Tibrewala have co-founded Meru Life, an innovative digital ecosystem designed to empower individuals aged 55-70, who are being referred to as “Active Seniors.” The platform aims to help seniors lead fulfilling, vibrant, and purposeful lives in their second innings. Karkare has been named the CEO and Co-Founder of Meru Life, while Hareesh Tibrewala takes on the role of Co-Founder and Executive Chair.
Karkare, who previously served as the Managing Director at Mirum India: A VML Company, where he spent over 15 years, brings a wealth of leadership and business experience to the new venture. On his new role and Meru Life’s launch, Karkare shared, “Happy to finally share what I’ve been working on for the last several weeks. I’m working on building Meru Life – which is a first-of-its-kind digital ecosystem focused on enabling individuals aged 55-70 (whom we are calling Active Seniors) to lead a vibrant and purposeful second inning. I believe that Meru Life has a significant opportunity to positively impact millions of Active Seniors, and in the process, build a long-term sustainable business – focusing on both Dhan and Dua / Income and Aashirwad.”
Karkare also expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Co-founder & CEO at Meru Life!”
Before his stint at Mirum India, Karkare worked as an Associate Software Engineer at e-Emphasys Technologies. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai. His vast experience in Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Business Analysis, Communication, Social Media Marketing, and Technology positions him to effectively lead Meru Life’s mission.
Hareesh Tibrewala, Co-Founder and Executive Chair of Meru Life, brings valuable entrepreneurial insight. Together, Karkare and Tibrewala were co-founders of Mirum India (formerly Social Wavelength), one of India’s first social media agencies, which grew to become one of the country’s largest digital agencies. Recognizing the emerging opportunity in the Age-Tech sector, Karkare and Tibrewala are now bringing their expertise to Meru Life, focused on serving the growing needs of Active Seniors.
Meru Life’s launch comes at a time when the senior demographic is becoming increasingly engaged with digital solutions that enable them to maintain independence, health, and connectivity. The company is poised to become a leading platform for this growing market, addressing everything from financial independence to wellness, community engagement, and more.
