Medianews4u has announced that it will be hosting a ‘Print and Television Summit’ in Bengaluru on October 18, 2023.
From influencers to AI, the challenges and opportunities for legacy media to be in focus at the day-long event in the city beginning 10.30 am, followed by an evening of celebrations.
The event will see senior industry professionals and thought leaders representing the worlds of news media, entertainment media, brands and marketing, and agency partners in attendance.
“Tectonic shifts in business models, practices and consumer behaviour have really been the reason why we have picked an arguably uncool theme like ‘Print’ and ‘Television’ because the truth is, the two are extremely relevant in the Indian context. While the rise of digital is undeniable, there is real convergence that disallows siloing of the past. We look forward to hearing the practitioners tell us how it’s done and enlighten the gathering with practical wisdom and ways forward,” said Vijay Vishwanath. Founder and CEO, Uplift Medianews4u Group.
Entry to the event is free but by invitation. An avenue to place requests to register will be opened closer to the date of the event.
V Umanath, Co-founder and Managing Editor, added, “Virtual influencers have arrived. The metaverse fixation seems to have passed, but AI has entered newsrooms and TV studios. AI-created newsreaders are bringing us real bulletins. What’s next? And what will AI bring for the screened entertainment business? Can human intelligence prove to be the competitive advantage in the age of AI tools? Those are the burning questions that we will seek answers to.”
Anbuchezhian K, Consultant – Vice President- Strategy and Partnerships, Uplift Medianews4u, said, “We are caught in a ever changing media landscape and this summit will definitely help in better navigation and provide a better view of what’s ahead.”
“The attempt will be to curate an event whose content is of intrinsic relevance to participants. If each delegate can depart with a little more clarity and a mind that is a tad more open, we would have done what we set out to do,” said Gokul Krishnamoorthy, Group Consulting Editor.
