P. N. Balji, the founder of Singapore newspapers TODAY and The New Paper and now editor of news website The Independent, has joined RHT Comms & Relations as a senior media consultant on a part-time basis.
Also joining the PR agency in the same role is Woon Tai Ho, the former CEO of MediaCorp News.
The two media veterans will provide strategic support for public relations, professional training and development, media strategy and engagement, and crisis scenario planning.
Balji joining the agency does not mean he will leave his role as editor of The Independent, which launched in August 2013. He will also continue to write for The Edge Review and the South China Morning Post.
RHT Comms & Relations CEO James Allan said: “The addition of Mr. P.N. Balji and Mr. Woon Tai Ho – two of Singapore’s most acclaimed and recognized media professionals – will further strengthen RHT Comms & Relations’ abilities to provide highly-sophisticated media consulting services to its growing portfolio of clients. With decades of regional knowledge and experience, and established networks with Singapore’s leading media institutions, these two individuals will provide our clients with unparalleled access to media both in Singapore and across the ASEAN region.”
