Cochin : The leading Malayalam Satellite channel owned by publication giant Manorama Group, Mazhavil Manorama is gearing up to bolster its Prime time fiction line-up as the Channel has announced the launch of two new fictions shows which will go on-air from end of this month.
Mazhavil Manorama is bringing in Mayamohini at 9:30pm which will replace Balamani and Sundari will replace Ente Pennu at 7:00 pm.
The channel has decided to raise the bar in Malayalam GEC space with a major restructuring in their fiction line-up to tighten its grip in one of the most competitive regional market in South India.
The channel aims to reinforce its No. 2 position and also to reduce the gap between the No.1 GEC in Kerala Market. The recently launched fiction show Manjurukumkaalam has positioned itself as one among the top 5 rated fiction shows amongst Kerala GECs.
The two new fiction shows Mayamohini and Sundari will be a beautiful blend of real life scenarios and characters of ordinary people who prosper in the real world.
The story of “Sundari” revolves around a village girl named Gatha and her achievements. Her life circumstances forces her to become a bus conductor in her village. On the other hand Mayamohini is the story of a bold young lady named Urmilla who was forced to change her identity as a man (Unnikrishnan) to escape a death trap.
The concept of Mayamohini would take audience through how Unnikrishnan (Urmila) tackles and defeats Yamini Bhai a crooked lady who made her life miserable, saves her sister who is in Yamini Bhai’s trap and finds her missing father who went absconding before Yamini Bhai’s entry in their life.
Mazhavil Manorama had recently launched a big ticket non-fiction show Made for each other which is considered as the biggest reality show in television history of Kerala market which was completely shot in Malaysia.
