Bengaluru: Mayhem Studios, Bengaluru-based developer of AAA mobile games, has secured investment from Lumikai, an interactive media and gaming focused venture fund.
Mayhem Studios is creating Underworld Gang Wars (UGW), an AAA battle royale game infused with Indian culture. The game includes Indian locations, characters, and elements, providing players with an authentic experience.

Mayhem Studios plans to use the new capital to grow operations, speed up game development, expand the team, and improve technology. Current investors comprise Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia India), Steadview Capital, Truecaller, Hashed Emergent, Base Partners, and Moore Strategic.

Mayhem Studios exited closed beta in May and is prepping for open beta with 7.5 Million registrations. The game blends Indian culture and battle royale to captivate gamers nationwide. UGW transports players to dynamic Indian locations, offering a range of weapons. Players can pick traditional Indian arms and vie to dominate against two rival gangs, The Velvets and The Bhokal Toli, enhancing the competitive gameplay.
