Market research and consumer insights veteran Hemant Mehta has passed away. In his last stint, Mehta was the Managing Director and Chief Strategy officer of Kantar, an organisation he was associated with for over three decades.
Mehta started his career in 1989 with IMRB, and held various roles at IMRB (now Kantar). He is credited with setting up the electronic People Meter, and also oversaw the setting up of TAM Media Research.
Tributes have poured in on social media in his remembrance.

Anand Siva, Head of Business Excellence, NittyGritti: There are very few people I connect with at a higher level, way above our circle of work & engagement.
