Mumbai: Marico’s Saffola Honey, a leading brand in the honey market, has launched its latest television commercial (TVC) starring acclaimed actor Pankaj Tripathi. The ad invites viewers on an enchanting journey through the Sundarban forest, highlighting the challenges involved in sourcing pure honey, while showcasing how Saffola Honey makes this premium product readily available in local stores.
Conceptualized by Mullen Lintas, the TVC begins in a grocery store where a customer asks Tripathi, playing the shopkeeper, for Shuddha honey. With his signature charm, he presents her with a jar of Saffola Honey, stating, “Shukar hai Saffola Honey hai madam, Varnaa…” Instantly, the grocery store transforms into the vibrant Sundarbans, complete with creeping vines and blossoming branches.
Tripathi narrates the adventure of collecting the purest honey, depicting scenes of navigating the dense forests of Sundarbans, crossing the Ganga River, and avoiding buzzing bees. The commercial culminates in a stunning visual of honey dripping from a beehive nestled in the lush surroundings. As the fantasy fades, he reassures the customer, saying, “Aapko toh sirf humse maangna hai… Shuddha honey… Saffola Honey,” as he hands her the jar with a smile.
