Somasree Bose Awasthi has been appointed as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Marico. Prior to joining Marico, she was associated with Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) as the CMO. Her stint with GCPL was over 18+ years.
Marico announced the appointment through its LinkedIn post that read, “We are delighted to welcome Somasree Bose Awasthi (she/her) to Marico. She joins us as the Chief Marketing Officer & will be an Executive Committee Member at Marico Limited. She comes with over nineteen years of experience across Consumer Products & FMCG Industry. We are confident that with her wealth of experience, she will contribute significantly to take Marico to greater heights.”
Bose started her professional journey with Godrej as a management trainee in 2003, initially as part of Sara Lee business and then continued with Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. post the merger.
She has a rich experience of almost two decades in Consumer products and FMCG industry and held various senior posts during her tenure with GCPL.
