New Delhi: Senior journalist Manogya Loiwal has stepped down from ABP News after four impactful years, preparing to take on a larger role in another prestigious national media organization. Loiwal, who resigned in February, is set to assume her new responsibilities in April, marking a significant milestone in her illustrious career.
As an Anchor and Editor at ABP News, Manogya Loiwal played a pivotal role in shaping political and defence reporting, covering key beats including the PMO, BJP, Defence, and North-East Affairs. With over two decades in multimedia journalism, she has reported from some of the world’s most challenging locations, delivering in-depth coverage of crucial political, social, and international events.

Before joining ABP News in 2021, Manogya Loiwal served as Editor – East at Aaj Tak and India Today Television, based in Kolkata. Her career spans leading media houses such as Network18, Dainik Jagran, and the India Today Group, where she covered some of the biggest stories shaping India and the world.
Her fearless, on-ground journalism includes:
* Elections & Political Shifts – Covering key battlegrounds during Lok Sabha and state elections
* Global Affairs – The only Asian journalist to report from Wuhan, China, during the early COVID-19 outbreak
* Border & Conflict Reporting – First journalist to reach the closest point to the Doklam standoff between India and China
* Humanitarian Crises & Disasters – Investigative coverage of Rohingya villages in Myanmar and Bangladesh, and extensive reporting on Cyclone Amphan
Loiwal’s fearless journalism has earned her numerous accolades, including:
* Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism
* ENBA Award for Best Reporting on Social Issues
* News Television Award for Best Reporter
* Bharat Nirman Award
Beyond reporting, she has been a TEDx speaker, an ISB fellow, and a participant in the US State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).
As she steps into a bigger role, Manogya Loiwal continues to break barriers and redefine journalism in India. Her next move is highly anticipated in the media industry, and she remains committed to fearless, impactful storytelling.
