Malcolm Raphael, SVP – Creative Strategy & Planning, Trade Marketing and Innovations at Times Response of Bennett Coleman & Co. (BCCL / The Times of India), is moving on after 15 years with the company.
Raphael, who spent the early part of his career at Madison DMB&B (LinkedIn), worked at Euro RSCG, UTV Interactive, Fountainhead, Madison Communications and DMA Branding before moving to United Spirits as GM – Marketing in 2007.
He joined BCCL in 2008 with the group’s strategic investment arm Times Private Treaties, playing a role in repositioning it as Brand Capital. He was part of the team on BrandScope before moving to Times Response, the sales and revenue division.
As part of trade marketing, the group launched “Power of Print” under his watch to re-energise creativity in the print medium. Raphael managed BCCL’s relationship with the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity (Ascential) and ran the Young Lions and Young Spikes competitions in India
Thanking his teams, Raphael posted on LinkedIn: “I have been fortunate to have worked with three amazing and inspiring bosses over these 15 years from whom I have learnt numerous lessons. Thanks Sivakumar Sundaram, Partha Sinha and Nandan Srinath.”
