Online travel company MakeMyTrip has launched a campaign aimed at attracting new users.
The two-film campaign features long standing brand ambassadors, actors Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The films have been written by Tanmay Bhat, Devaiah Bopanna, Puneet Chadha and Deep Joshi of Moonshot.
Singh and Bhatt are getting ready to skydive and launch into a negotiation with the expert when it is their turn to jump off the plane. They plead for a better deal, offering to jump together and even suggesting that they use their own ‘parachute’. The exasperated instructor jumps without them. The brand’s message is that if you end up spending all your money on the hotel booking, you’ll be left with nothing for other activities. Enter MakeMyTrip, with its value promise.
The other film features the duo interacting at a hotel lobby. Bhatt sends across her room key, drawing a value conscious Singh into conversation. He notes that Bhatt’s room is on the 19th floor and asks if it has a sea view. He realises that her room booking doesn’t have a sea view, a bathtub or include unlimited breakfast. He reveals that his room booking includes all of that, and that she can also get a 20 pc off on her first booking. The brand’s message is, ‘Stay better, Pay lesser.’
Raj Rishi Singh, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Business Office – Corporate, MakeMyTrip, said, “An informed traveller is a fulfilled traveller.
