Chennai: This year’s Maddys Awards has transformed itself in to an event on par with any international Creative Awards Ceremony in the Advertising World with 811 entries across 34 categories from 85 organisations consisting of advertising agencies, film producers, radio stations and media companies.
With a huge list of Guests comprising the veterans of the Media and Advertising Industry from all over the country and International Juries, who are extremely impressed with the growing standard of entries. The venue also witnessed a over flowing crowd with enthusiastic participation in the budding talents of the Media and Advertising world.
Sam Balsara owned Madison Media has won six awards in the annual creative awards from Madras Advertising Club, Maddys Awards 2016 held at Chennai on 1st April 2016.
However, the organisers were saddened by the fact that no one turned up representing the agency to collect the awards despite proper intimation on nominations to the agency.
Madison Media won six Maddys Awards as following:
1) Under the Radio Product Category, the agency won Silver for the activity of Good Knight Campaign titled RJ says good night in the morning time.
2) In Activation category, the agency won Silver for the activity of HIT – World’s first Drone with a Mosquito repellent spray.
3) In Media Innovations category, Madison won Bronze for Asian Paints – Bring Alive your imaginations with Royale.
4) In Integrated Campaign, the agency won Silver for HIT – World’s first Drone with a Mosquito repellent spray.
5) In Integrated Campaign, the agency won Bronze for Godrej EZEE – Hugs are easy, everybody needs one.
6) In Integrated Campaign, the agency won another Bronze for Gowardhan Ghee – Making of Largest Modhak – Maha Modhak.
Except Madison almost all the National agencies including GroupM, Mindshare, Rediffusion, Carat, PHD India, OMD India etc… and many Independent Agencies from all over the country participated promptly in the prestigious annual event.
While, everyone was present to accept their honour, When the awards were announced for Madison Media, the organisers were taken aback as there was no one to accept the awards representing the agency. They were forced the skip the category and move forward to the next round.
Sources from Ad Club Madras revealed that Madison Media was well informed on their entries being nominated in various categories and the agency also confirmed the participation of 11 members team and the tickets were also issued accordingly. However, they didn’t turn up to the event for unknown reasons. Ad Club Madras stated that the Awards will be couriered to the agency.
A senior member of the organising team said that Ad Club Madras has historic reputation of having many veteran Ad Gurus and Media Personalities as its honourable members. It is very unfortunate that Sam Balsara’s company failed to make its presence despite winning six awards.
