Haldiram’s began as a tiny retail sweets and namkeen shop in Bikaner in 1941. It got its name from founder Ganga Bishan Agarwal, who was fondly known as Haldiram Ji in his household. The shop quickly gained popularity and scaled up to meet a booming demand for its unique bhujia.
Shiv Kishan Agrawal, his grandson, decided to take bhujia beyond the boundaries of Bikaner, shifting the base to Nagpur in 1970. The first full production unit was opened to introduce a variety of savouries, sweets and beverages.
Haldiram’s set up shop in Delhi by 1982. Word of mouth grew the business manifold over the next decade. It grew to be known as a brand synonymous with taste, hygiene and innovation. It has over 410 products today, available at retail stores and ecommerce platforms.
