Hyderabad: Star India’s Telugu GEC Maa TV is gearing up for the launch of next season of MEK (Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu), the Telugu version of KBC. The Channel has roped in Telugu matinee idol Mega Star Chiranjeevi to occupy the hot seat that was with Actor Nagarjuna for the past three seasons.
This will mark the entry of Mega Star Chiranjeevi in to Telugu Television Medium. Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu season 4 on Maa TV will be commening from 12th December. As per the reports, the program will be aired on MAA channel between 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM on every Monday to Thursday.
In fact Nagarjuna has brought name and fame to Telugu version of KBC. Entire Andhra Pradesh and Telangana audience glued to the show and it delivered historic numbers during its first season. After successful inaugural season the succeeding seasons witnessed dwindling numbers and the third season of MEK witnessed very disappointing numbers. It might be the reason why the channel has planned to bring in Chiranjeevi in place of Nagarjuna.
Nagarjuna’s look, knack of communication, and spontaneous response made the audiences to have great fun and it will be an interesting to how Chiranjeevi will be catching up in the hot seat.
Currently, Chiranjeevi is busy shooting for his upcoming Khaidi number 150 th film which is getting shaped in the hands of V V Vinayak. Ram Charan is producing this high budget flick which is slated to release on during Sankranthi, 2017. Kajal Aggarwal is the love interest of Chiranjeevi in this action-drama.
Maa TV will be inviting registration for MEK 4 from 10th October onwards. The show is being produced by the format owner Synergy Productions.
