m4marry couple Parvathy Nair and Amal re-lived their marriage, but in a regal setting on a wedding float at this year’s Onam procession, thanks to the matrimonial website from Malayala Manorama.
The couple who got married last year were treated to a royal wedding ride in the decades-old Athachamayam pageantry this year by m4marry.
Among the traditional floats of the festivity, the couple in a richly decorated wedding venue were accompanied by fanfare and traditional nadaswaram artistes, who played wedding music and songs.
The initiative underlines m4marry’s deep commitment to foster the unique and enduring symbols of a rich past, noted a company statement.
The Athachamayam procession in Thripunithura, Kochi, in which the initiative was set, marks the beginning of Onam celebrations in Kerala. The pageant is organised on the day of Atham, the first day of the ten day celebrations.
“Athachamayam is a cultural confluence where the folk arts of Kerala become part of this unique celebration. It is rooted in the victory procession of the King of Kochi and his magnificent court. The procession has floats, art forms, music and dance and even caparisoned elephants. It is one of the most visited attractions of the Onam season,” the statement added. .
Last year, m4marry’s wedding float featured a bridal party at the Nehru Trophy boat race.
