New Delhi: M&C Saatchi Mobile has launched two offices in India ahead of predictions that the country will overtake the US for smartphone penetration this year, becoming the second largest mobile market in the world.
The agency has opened an office in New Delhi and also in Bangalore in recognition of where different opportunities may lie, both for business and technology.
M&C Saatchi Mobile CEO James Hilton says, “Inauguration of our offices in the country’s capital New Delhi and the IT hub of the country, Bangalore is a landmark moment in our history. We know there is huge opportunity in this market and being able to provide our existing client with support in their local market has always been our client servicing goal.”
Heading up the New Delhi operations will be Harry Bajaj, who has joined as business strategist and in Bangalore Gaurav Ahuja has joined business manager and will look after operations there. Both Harry and Gaurav will report into Chris Steedman, APAC managing director, M&C Saatchi Mobile.
M&C Saatchi Mobile also announced that it was opening the two offices with launch clients Ola and Swiggy.
