Leena Jaisani has been promoted to Deputy Secretary General of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). She earlier served as the Assistant General Secretary at FICCI.
In a career spanning 28 years, Jaisani has worked in the areas of Policy Advocacy, Government Relations, and Conference Curation. At FICCI, she was also Cluster Head for Media & Entertainment, Intellectual Property Rights, Retail, FMCG, E-Commerce, and E-Pharma divisions and demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking. She was instrumental in establishing and nurturing events such as FICCI Frames, the largest annual convention on the Business of Entertainment in Asia.
Under her purview, FICCI secured Industry Status for the Indian Film Industry, and led to the establishment of the Film Facilitation Office in Delhi.
Jaisani also helped in the creation of Intellectual Properties (IPs) like FICCI Fastrack Digital and the M&E Business Conclave. She has been at the forefront of forging Audio Visual Co-production Treaties with 15 countries, including Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, South Korea, Spain, and the UK. Additionally, her leadership has seen the initiation of India’s first Content marketplace. Jaisani also played a role in excluding broadcasting services from the TRAI bill and establishing partnerships with international events such as MIPCOM, MIPTV, Rome Film Festival, and Annecy.
