In April 2023, HerKey (formerly JobsForHer) underwent a rebranding and transformed into a career engagement platform focused on empowering women in India.
Langoor Digital handled the new brand identity that involved the new name, logo and design direction to celebrate HerKey’s philosophy of helping women move ‘onwards and upwards’ in the workforce.
Neha Bagaria, Founder & CEO of HerKey, said, “HerKey aims to be a companion for women in their diverse career journeys. We’ve built Herkey as a career engagement platform that offers not only job opportunities, but also focuses on the entire career lifecycle by offering learning, opportunities and communities. For the brand design and visual architecture we chose to work with Langoor Digital. What they brought to the table was a design that was not just simple and insightful but inspiring as well. We couldn’t be happier with the new identity they have created for the company and how it manifests into our deeper offerings while marrying the strengths of the previous JobsForHer platform and its audience of 3.5 million women.“
Ferzad Variyava, Chief Creative Officer, Langoor Digital, said, “Every new brand’s design deserves to benefit from the maxim Steve Jobs lived by and that is ‘Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication’. Simplicity in design also flows from the sharpness of the brand’s proposition which we took special care in building from the ground up.”
HerKey seeks to address the gender gap in the Indian workforce, where only 20 pc women are actively involved, compared to 60 pc in China and 55 pc in the United States, informed an official statement. Initially, the platform focused on assisting women in restarting their careers after a break, but it has expanded its services to support women in starting, restarting, and advancing in their careers.
The career engagement platform for women raised $4 million in funding from Kalaari Capital, 360 ONE Asset (formerly IIFL Asset Management), and a group of angel investors including Zia Mody and Puneet Dalm, in April 2023.
