Mumbai : BARC ratings for week 36, has unveiled the performance of the newly launched shows of the Hindi Entertainment Channels in the respective week.
The prominent new launches during the week 36 in HSM Urban 15+ category includes Kaun Banega Crorepati on SET, Perfect Pati on &TV, Thujse Hai Raabta and Guddan on Zee.
Out of these launches, the 10th season of the quiz reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ hosted by Amitabh Bachchan was one of the most awaited shows that has received an extraordinary reception among the viewers yet another time., the show has paved way to the channels increased ratings and has made Sony the market leader with 448725 (000s) impressions in week 36 Urban HSM category Both the fiction series Thujse Hai Raabta and Guddan launched on Zee TV, has given an average delivery.
Analysing the performances of each of the new launches, we observe the following :
Kaun Banega Crorepati on SET
The 10th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) launched on SET with amidst high expectations of the viewers, A special campaign #KabTakRokoge that evoked the emotions of every KBC aspirant was also launched. The quiz show went on air from 3rd September at 9:00 PM. The show has performed extraordinarily well with an average of 2.4 TVR on its launch day and the reach of the launch episode was 6.5% with 33.8 mins of TS. The opening week TVR of the show is 2.5 average TVR with 6.5% of reach and 34.1 mins of opening week TS.
Thujse Hai Raabta on Zee TV
The fiction series Thujse Hai Raabta launched on 3rd September on Zee TV aired in the channels weeknights at 8:30 PM time band attracted average if 2.0 TVR on its launch day with a reach of 4.4% and 13.9 mins of TS in is launch episode.
The story of Thujse Hai Raabta revolves around , a young girl who refuses to accept her new step-mother, after her mother passes away and is trying to find her place in the family. The fiction show opening week TVR happened to be 1.9 TVR and recorded a reach of 4.2% with a time spend of 13.5mins in its opening week.
Guddan on Zee TV
Zee TV’s yet another new launch Guddan premiered on 3rd September and is being telecasted weeknights at 8:00 PM prime time band. Kanika Mann plays the lead role of Guddan, and Nishant Malkani is seen playing the shrewd widower Akshat Jindal. It is a light-hearted story of a 20-year old girl, Guddan who having bumbled and fumbled through most of her life and being told by her own family that she can barely get one thing right, finds herself becoming India’s youngest mother in law to three older daughters-in-law by a quirk of circumstances.
The launch episode of the series garnered average of 2.1 TVR and 4.0% reach with 15.5 mins of TS. However the opening week ratings were an average of 2.0 TVR with an opening week reach of 3.8 and 15.6 mins of TS.
Perfect Pati on &TV
Perfect Pati launched on &TV on 3rd September is being telecasted from Monday to Friday at 9:30 PM. The series is set in the backdrop of Rajasthan and revolves around the life of female protagonist Vidhita who like many young girls dreams of an idealistic image of her prospective partner. Her approach towards life and situations is in complete contrast to that of male protagonist, Pushkar who is an attractive and aggressively over-protective man. Perfect Pati attracted an average of 0.4 TVR on its opening day and recorded a reach of 1.7% with 13.0mins of TS on its launch episode. The opening week TVR recorded 0.3 TVR with 1.0% of reach and 10.6mins of opening week TS.
All the new show launches this week have shown a decent delivery while the HSM is witnessing a slew of equally competitive shows every week.
