Hyderabad: On September 27, 2019, Global Delivery Centre, India, part of the Kantar Group, one of the world’s leading data, research and insights company, closed its curtains on the Extraordinary People Week, their CSR programme. With over 30,000 employees across the world participating, each office organised its own set of initiatives to reiterate the importance of making a difference and contributing to the society.
At the Hyderabad and Pune offices of this centre, each day was dedicated to a specific cause – Road Safety Awareness, Yoga & Wellness, Blood Donation, Reducing Carbon Footprint and Project Athithi. Owing to the increase in the number of road accidents and faulty drivers in the country, the Road Safety session was organised in partnership with the Society for Cyberabad Security Council & Cyberabad Traffic Police in Hyderabad and the City Traffic Police in Pune.
“We have a responsibility to give back and work towards the advancement of the society, and we believe that the change always begins with you. So, as we celebrate the Extraordinary People Week across Kantar, we try to play our part in creating an extraordinary world where people can flourish – however small it is, it is our duty” says Tony Kattoor, Head – Global Delivery Centre, India.
SM Vijay Kumar IPS – DCP Traffic, Cyberabad and Mr Rajesh Puranik, Police Inspector, Traffic Branch, Pune City were the guest speakers at the respective centres, and they talked about the importance of following traffic signs and rules, and how not adhering to them can result in fatalities either to you or to the people affected by you.
Sarath Reddy, SVP & Head – Kantar Karamveers, the CSR Committee says, “We live in a world where all our problems seem to take a precedence over all the good, and as a result, we worry too much about things that are very trivial. When we organise such events and do our part in giving back to the society and making a difference, we realise that there is so much that we have and others don’t – and we’re cribbing about not having more. Contributing to the society is a way of life – something that gives you fulfilment – and through this week, each one of us at Kantar has achieved a sense of purpose and satisfaction.”
At the end of the 5-day CSR programme, employees took back two strong messages – the importance of contributing to the society, and the impact it would have on someone, no matter how big or small the contribution; it’s the intent that matters.
Kantar’s Global Delivery Centre, India is part of the Kantar Group, which is one of the world’s leading data, research and consultancy companies. A certified Great Place to Work and ranked among the Top 25 Best Workplaces for Women in India in 2019.
