Chennai headquartered Kaleesuwari Group has onboarded former GMR Cargo’s CEO Saurabh Kumar as its new CEO.
Saurabh Kumar left GMR Group in May 2023 after 12 years of association in various functions out of which, during the last four year he served as the CEO of GMR Cargo.
Saurabh Kumar announced his new assignment in his Linkedin handle that stated, “Happy to share that I have joined the Chennai headquartered Kaleesuwari Group as CEO.”
“Kaleesuwari Group is a market leader in the branded Edible Oil Industry with products across Edible Oil, Food and other Consumer Segments. Some of the popular brands of the Company includes Gold Winner, Cardia, Eldia, Orysa, Fedora, Dheepam & Sree Gold.”
“At Kaleesuwari, I will be leading the existing FMCG business covering the branded non-SFO categories, new product launch, geographical expansion as well as driving the Group’s foray into new businesses as part of my Adjacent and New Businesses Portfolio.”
Earlier while moving on from GRM Group, Saurabh, stated, “Starting with the SEZ Business in 2010, my journey in GMR gave me challenging opportunities to work across HYD Airport City, International Airport, Duty Free Retail and finally, onto the GMR Cargo Business which I have had the privilege of incubating and growing into a multi-airport platform over the past 4 years.”
Before joining GMR Group Saurabh also worked for Tata Strategic Management Group (TSMG) and EY.
