As part of its ‘On-Demand Salary’ campaign, Amica Financial Technologies’ fintech brand Jupiter has released a film highlighting the perils of taking loans from dubious instant loan apps.
The film features a pehelwan who failed to make it big in the sport and becomes a henchman hired by an instant loan app to recover money from defaulters.
The film tells his story of turning to the job where he puts his fighting skills to use and wreaks havoc on defaulters, who fail to read the terms and conditions and pay heed to high interest rates in their desperation for money at the end of the month. The quirky film shows his company going out of business thanks to salaried workers choosing Jupiter’s On-Demand Salary product instead.
The brand’s On-Demand Salary product lets users withdraw their salary based on the number of days they have worked, on any day of the month, at 0 pc interest for 45 days, informed an official statement.
Apurv Narang, Head, Growth and Marketing, Jupiter, said, “On-Demand Salary empowers every employee, working with any company, with a no-questions-asked product. Withdrawing your own earned salary eliminates the confusion, stress, and fear that come with seeking instant credit from friends, family, or unreliable credit sources.”
“We saw people turning to instant loan apps for quick access to credit, especially during the month-end. Our aim with this mockumentary is to educate users about the dark realities of taking loans from such apps,” the statement added.
The company intends to roll out multiple investment and credit-focused products in 2023 under the Jupiter brand.
