Mumbai: Jigsaw Brand Consultants, a strategic brand consultancy focused on consumer research and brand planning, has appointed Rahul Advani as Senior Cultural Anthropologist.
With a decade of experience in studying culture and society in India, Rahul specializes in technology, youth, class, and gender dynamics. He holds a PhD in Anthropology from King’s College London, where he conducted ethnographic research on the social media habits of lower-middle-class young men in western India. His academic career began at the National University of Singapore, and he has contributed significantly to both academia and consumer research, including work at Quantum Consumer Solutions.
Rahul’s research has been published in peer-reviewed anthropology journals, and he has co-authored a book examining connections between Singapore and India. His insights have been featured in The Straits Times, establishing him as a thought leader in cultural anthropology. Additionally, Rahul is a talented singer and songwriter, integrating cultural and creative perspectives into his research.
