Mumbai: Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, emphasizes the importance of the “timeless family bond” in its latest campaign, as a build-up to the festive season.
Reiterating the power and underlying strength of tender, warm, close-knit human relationships, the airline uses its campaign to weave a heart-warming story that celebrates the spirit of togetherness and bonding, so evident during the Christmas / holiday season.
The campaign released as a film, exclusively on social and digital platforms including Facebook and YouTube, highlights the important yet limited role played by technology as an enabler that can only facilitate people and families to remain in touch, while being far from home and from each other, in pursuit of their dreams, and never really compensate the quintessential ‘human touch’.
Using a ‘live’ video conversation between a mother and her daughter, the short film illustrates the lives and times of the millennial generation, aptly reflected by their overbearing dependence on technology for everyday communication which more often than not tends to overshadow the effects of physical presence, warmth and security.
Commenting on the film, Belson Coutinho, Vice President, Marketing, E-Commerce & Innovations, Jet Airways, said, “This film marks a continuation of Jet Airways’ people-oriented communication, aimed at engaging the young, new-age, audience, which is rapidly emerging as one of the biggest segment of global travelers. They are looking for and guided by increasing options in terms of choice, connectivity and comfort and convenience – all of which are offered by Jet Airways. Our earlier campaigns – on Independence Day and Diwali, which showed a different and hitherto unknown side of India, have done exceedingly well, drawing strong acknowledgment from our guests and the online community.”
The minute-and-a-half movie, titled ‘Celebrate Christmas, Celebrate the #JoyOfFlying’ is a part of the airline’s ‘Think Home, Think Jet Airways’ campaign and emphasizes the role that Jet Airways’ extensive network of 66 global destinations plays in uniting guests and family members with their loved ones during the festive season.
While the airline flies to 46 destinations in India and 20 abroad through its hubs in New Delhi, Mumbai and Amsterdam, multiple codeshare agreements with partner airlines expand this already extensive reach to 600+ cities around the world. Together with its partner Etihad Airways, Jet Airways today operates more flights to / from India than any other airline in the world.
