Cochin : Kerala-based Janam TV has partnered with Harmonic for end-to-end news production and broadcast solutions. The channel was launched on 19th April and offers a mix of education, news and entertainment programs.
Harmonic has provided the broadcaster with a media server called Harmonic Spectrum MediaCenter as well as Harmonic Ellipse® 3100 contribution encoder and ProView™ 7100 integrated receiver-decoder (IRD), stream processor and transcoder. The video delivery infrastructure provider says that its equipment will help Janam TV deliver content in high video quality.

Kerala-based channel, Sakhi TV, had recently announced a technology agreement with Harmonic. The video delivery company also has ties with Live India, which is New Delhi based news channel owned by Broadcast Initiatives.
