ITW MENA, which is the vertical of ITW that operates in the Middle East and North Africa region has bagged the broadcast and commercial rights for the upcoming Oman T20 series.
Oman T20 series is a T20 International cricket tournament going to be played in Oman starting February 11th, 2022.
There will be 4 nations participating in this tournament which are Oman, the hosts, Ireland, and Nepal.
The tournament, though short-spanned, will be helpful to these nations who compete as qualifiers for this year’s ICC World T20 and such tournaments prove to be good practice for these nations to pave the way to be playing at the World T20 in Australia later this year.
There will be 6 matches in total that will be played in Oman. Earlier in December 2021, Oman Cricket had signed ITW Consulting as their Partners for 3 years to promote its cricket and highlight them.
Vivek Chandra, Director ITW, confirmed that the Tournament would have Wolf News as presenting partner, SKY247.net as the Powered By partner.
TVS, SAT Sport, and Fair play News, would be the other Associate Sponsors.
He said “ITW has partnered with various TV channels, the matches will be live on Eurosport’s in India, Geo Sports in Pakistan, Himalya TV in Nepal, Next TV in the USA. It would also be on digital mediums – Fancode in India; On YouTube it would be on OSR Sports in Nepal, CrickTracker in Rest of World & on Facebook it would be on Sports Eye”.
With IPL auctions scheduled in the coming weekend (12th and 13th Feb 2022), there are players who want to steal a ray of hope by going under the hammer which also includes players from nations such as Nepal. This tournament could prove new gates opening for the upcoming players of these nations.
