Mumbai : The Indian cricket board has signed up digital payments platform FreeCharge as the on-ground official partner of the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) for the next two years.

We look forward to a successful partnership with FreeCharge over the next couple of years and hope that it blossoms into a mutually beneficial association for both the parties,” said Rajeev Shukla, chairmain, IPL.
Govind Rajan, chief operating officer of FreeCharge said, “FreeCharge is an iconic brand amongst youth and so is VIVO IPL, making this an ideal partnership of two energetic brands. “FreeCharge plans to launch a 360 degree marketing campaign across various platforms,” he said.
As the official partner, FreeCharge’s branding will be prominently visible on all major indoor and outdoor platforms of the IPL.
