As IPL 2023 kicks off, Viacom18’s JioCinema has secured 21 sponsors, while Star Sports has managed to secure 13 sponsors for the tournament.
According to the recent report by Media Partners Asia (MPA), JioCinema is expected to earn US$330-US$350 million in ad sales revenue, which is more than the projected ad sales revenue of IPL incumbent rights holder Star India, which is US$200-220 million.
The television broadcasting rights for IPL 2023 have been secured by Disney Star India for Rs 23,575 crores, while the digital rights for the league have been acquired by Viacom18 for Rs 20,500 crores.
JioCinema, the official digital partner, has secured Dream 11 as the co-presenting sponsor, and JioMart, PhonePe, and Tiago EV as co-powered sponsors. The list of associate sponsors includes Appy Fizz, ET Money, Castrol, TVS, Oreo, Bingo, Sting, AJIO, Haier, RuPay, Louis Philippe Jeans, Amazon, Rapido, Ultra Tech Cement, Puma, Kamla Pasand, and Kingfisher Power Soda.
The official broadcast partner, Star Sports, has roped in Dream11, Asian Paints, Thums Up, Airtel, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Mountain Dew, Parle Biscuits, Kamla Pasand, RuPay, Britannia, Tata Neu, Jindal Panther, and LIC as sponsors for this season.
