IndusInd Bank launched its mobile banking app Indie last week. A TVC for the app is now live and was on air during the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
With the app, the bank aims to bring banking to customers’ fingertips and onboard 10 million customers over the next three years, according to media reports.
The TVC takes the comic route and visualises everyday banking as a battle. Customers disgruntled with online banking hassles and lacklustre loyalty programmes get transported to a battlefield by soldiers, before the app is pitched as the solution to their woes.
The app, the bank said, leverages advanced analytics to provide personalised insights to its customers. It claims to offer several industry-first features including ultra-flexible products that users can personalise as per their needs. Indie also allows customers to personalise their financial products, for instance, one can take an instant line of credit of up to Rs 5 lakh which is flexible, unlike a standard personal loan. Customers can choose the amount required and take only as much as needed, and pay interest only on what they take.
The app also offers choice of account number, a savings account which provides up to 6.75 pc return per annum, and fixed deposits that offer returns of up to 7.85 pc. Customers can even link their fixed deposits to savings.
Indie offers numberless debit cards, single use disposable virtual debit cards for transactions on lesser-known websites, dynamic PIN for ATM/POS transactions and a ‘Super OTP’ feature that allows users to access one-time passwords even in low network zones.
