Legrand Group subsidiary IndoAsian has unveiled its Diwali initiative and campaign “#Eco Utsav Initiative”. The initiative will kick off at the Kotla Mubarakpur market in Delhi, and Mani Ram Bagia market in Kanpur, and aims to encourage people to make a shift towards sustainable and eco-conscious celebrations.
The Eco Utsav initiative will promote awareness and action about plastic waste management. It will feature a market setup adorned with sustainable decorations, a vending machine incentivising plastic waste disposal, and daily clean-up drives. The collected plastic waste will be repurposed into a bench, contributing to the sustainability of the market. IndoAsian has partnered with Big FM 92.7 to broadcast the initiative in both cities.

The initiative includes a vending machine that encourages plastic waste recycling by dispensing sustainable Diwali decorations as rewards, daily clean-up drives and recycling efforts. Local retailers and the public are encouraged to participate campaign and the collected waste is repurposed into a bench, serving as a sustainable addition to the market.
