Bengaluru: Indigo 91.9 FM, India’s most innovate radio station, is celebrating this Independence Day with Beats For Freedom – a unique expression of Freedom that showcases the unity & diversity of our great nation. The event, held in Bangalore’s premier mall UB City, saw a group of 20 professional percussionists and drummers perform a percussion rendition of the National Anthem to a crowd of 500 people from across the city. The professional percussionists and drummers are some of the most well-known artists and bands in India and came together with Indigo 91.9 FM to express their patriotism in an exhilarating performance as the large crowd listened in rapture.
In keeping with Indigo 91.9 FMs reputation of innovation, Mr. Satyanaryana Murthy, CEO of Radio Indigo said, “We are very excited to express our patriotism to India in a new and unique manner each year. We performed an Acapella version of the National Anthem last year which was very well received and have created a Percussion version this year. We shall endeavor to continue expressing our freedom creatively through music every year.”
