In India, the bundle of 5 subscription services cost Rs 1,966.35 or $23.95 per month. This is 4.7 pc of the average monthly wage and positions India in 26th place of the ranking (the lower, the better).
In terms of subscription prices, India is ranked 58th.
The analyst team at Picodi.com created a report that checked the prices of entertainment subscription services in 60 countries and juxtaposed them with the average wages spent on monthly subscriptions in those countries.
Citizens of Swiss have to pay the most ($64.12) per month followed by USA ($60.45) in the second place and UK ($51.29) in the third place. Turkey pays the least for their subscriptions ($16.78).
The subscription services included in the report were the two video streaming services, ‘Netflix’ and ‘Prime Video’; one music streaming platform, ‘Spotify’; an internationally available e-book and audiobook platform, ‘Scribd’; and a gaming subscription, Microsoft’s ‘Game Pass’, which is available both on PC and on consoles.
The prices of individual subscriptions from the discussed bundle in India stands at, Netflix – Rs 499.00, Prime Video – Rs 179.00, Spotify – Rs 119.00, Scribd – Rs 820.35 and Xbox Game Pass – Rs 349.00.
