IndiaCast partners with YuppTV for distribution in Canada

Mumbai: Leading global OTT leader specializing in South Asian content, YuppTV has partnered with Indiacast, a joint venture between Viacom18’s and TV18 to air its array of channels including Aapka COLORS, MTV India, Rishtey and Rishtey Cineplex on its platform in Canada. This partnership gives YuppTV users uninhibited access to varied Indian content including the on-going season of Big Boss which is vastly popular amongst viewers.

Commenting on the association, Uday Reddy, Founder and CEO of YuppTV said, “We have witnessed a steady increase in demand for South Asian content, especially Indian entertainment channels, from the global expat community, especially Canada. We are happy to associate with IndiaCast, which hosts some of the leading entertainment shows of today. We are confident that our users in Canada will enjoy watching our latest addition of channels.”

Sharing his thoughts on the association, Anuj Gandhi, Group CEO – IndiaCast said, “IndiaCast has always endeavored to present quality and differentiated entertainment options to the Indian diaspora across the globe bringing them one step closer to Indian culture and content. We are now extending this option to the digital viewers through YuppTV. In this connected world, our partnership with YuppTV gives  the customers the convenience to watch their favorite shows anytime, anywhere.”

Adding further, Sameer Goswami, SVP & Business Head – Americas for IndiaCast said, “Digital and emerging platforms have huge potential, especially because it allows us to reach newer audiences including the millennials and the digital natives. YuppTV is a global leader in the digital landscape and with the launch of Aapka COLORS, MTV India, Rishtey and Rishtey Cineplex in Canada on their platform, we are expanding our global partnership with them to the Americas. This is our first such initiative in North America and we are looking forward to extending this partnership to other countries as well.”

In succession to its association with Indiacast, YuppTV is now offering over 250 Indian channels to its global audience, in over 14 languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Oriya, Nepali, Sinhalese, Urdu and Bangla. Content viewers can access the updated video content by YuppTV at their own convenience on six different screens, including Smart TVs, Internet STBs, Smart Blu-ray players, PDCs, Smart phones and Tablets.
