New Delhi: It is obvious that the English News genre in India Television market is witnessing huge battle for the viewership share with new entrant, Republic TV, dominating the space continuously from the inception, despite stiff competition with Times NOW.
In an interesting twist to the battle for the No. 2 spot in English News space, Week 47’s data from BARC has revealed the fact that TV Today Network owned India Today TV has crossed 20% share and came close to the striking range with Times NOW putting itself in the race for the top spot.
India Today TV was a distant No. 3 player until recent times and the sudden surge in share is attributed to its India Today Conclave 2017 that is travelling across the country with the latest being the East edition of the conclave.
