The India Today Group, along with its partner Axis-My-India, has once again repeated the feat of correctly forecasting the outcome of the recent assembly elections.
With its near-to-accurate poll predictions yet again, the Group has proven its track record and reaffirmed the faith of viewers who primarily consume political news.
For the five states that went to polls, India Today Axis-My-India predicted:
- 288-326 seats for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, closest to the final tally of 269
- 14-18 seats for the BJP in Goa, closest to the final tally of 20 seats
- 76-91 seats for the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab, closest to the final tally of 92 seats
- 36-48 seats for the BJP in the Uttarakhand, accurate to the final tally of 48 seats amongst any other exit poll
- 33-43 seats for the BJP in Manipur, closest to the final tally of 31
