Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI), a non-profit industry body devoted to furthering the cause of Rural Marketing in India and southern Asia, announced the winners for the 12th edition of Flame Awards Asia 2022 at a gala event held at Hotel Taj Vivanta, Dwarka, New Delhi on 17th December 2022.
‘Technology and Start-up’ focusing rural domain were the two introducing categories this year. VMS Events Pvt Ltd won gold in Technology and Last Mile Channel Enhancement won bronze in Start-up category respectively.
Impact Communications bagged the maximum metals with 8 Gold, 13 Silver and 8 Bronze for diverse campaigns under various categories followed by VMS Events Pvt Ltd, winning 3 Gold for ‘Ashirwad’ campaign. This was followed by Mindwave Media Pvt Ltd claiming 5 Silver for the various campaigns of Emami, Dabur and for Rajasthan state government. The list continues with Amar Ujala Ltd, GroupM Media India Ltd and Trivayu Media Works grabbing 2 Bronze each under different categories.
Maruti Suzuki and RMAI instituted a new ‘Rural Contributor Award’ this year to RajKumar Jha applauding his 40 years of thorough contribution towards his robust body of work into Rural domain.
Last but not the least International team namely Outreach Nepal Pvt Ltd, Digitalin Pvt Ltd and Lemon Pvt. Ltd made their roaring presence claiming 12 Gold, 5 Silver and a Bronze under Emerging Market Category.
Amar Ujala Ltd, Anugrah Madison, CNHI, Everest Industries Pvt Ltd, GroupM Media India Pvt Ltd, Impact Communications, Mindwave Media Pvt Ltd, Triveni Media Marketing Services Pvt Ltd and TVS Credit Services Ltd won certificates for their various campaign under different category.
This edition’s jury was chaired by Sam Balsara, Founder and Chairman-Madison group. The Jury comprised of business leaders, brand custodians, marketers, media/advertising professionals, and domain experts in rural marketing. The entries were officially tabulated by Ernst & Young (EY).
On Flame Awards platform Shashank Srivastava, Sr. Executive Officer-Maruti Suzuki shared milestone achievement of crossing 60 lakh units of cumulative rural sales from about 2000 rural outlets engaging more than 16,500 rural manpower. He said with customer base in over 4 lakh Indian villages rural contributes about 43.8% of Maruti Suzuki’s total sales volume. He added that “Maruti Suzuki is happy to partner with RMAI as they drive the cause of Rural Marketing in India and Asia.
